Do you love this genre? January 1, 2013

Nice selection of tunes, well rendered by two masters of the instrument. Charming idiom. That said, you have to love the genre to spend very much time paying attention, given the limited palette. Report Abuse

As I am only a music lover and not classically trained I found this CD to be true to its description. It was elegant and truly a treat to just be able to enjoy. Report Abuse

A Delightful Collection of Duets for Lute September 4, 2012
By J. MacLeod (Cambridge, ON) -- See All My Reviews
This is a very fine collection, beautifully played and very well recorded. John Johnson is the star composer on the album, but other greats like Dowland and Robinson also feature. A number of anonymous compositions are also included. A gentle and elegant disc. Report Abuse
