 Whoa...Put's Muzak to shame! November 1, 2013
By William Kendall (Santa Rosa, CA) -- See All My Reviews
Was awakened this morning around 6AM with Classical KDFC-San Francisco playing L'inverno from this recording of Four Seasons and seriously thought I was still dreaming. Is this Vivaldi's Winter?! What IS this, I remember thinking. Quite possibly the most dynamic interpretation of this wonderful, now hackneyed concerto in our time. As another reviewer noted, it's not to be casually listened to but experienced. Who doesn't just let this work become background noise with other renditions? Thankfully the radio station has their playlists available for review and even purchase through Arkiv. Twelve dollars well spent, and for immediate download. 5 stars and Bravo Mr. Biondi!  Vivaldi how it should sound July 4, 2013

The Italians sure know how to play this familiar music. I would rate this as one of the best recordings I have heard both sonically and from the view of interpretation. Full marks and a good price. Report Abuse

Driving home from work and heard this wild & crazy rendition of Winter. It sounded like Vivaldi, but then I wasn't sure, but I knew I had to have it. Anticipation -I can't wait for it to arrive. Report Abuse

Transport from Beltway to Venice, 1725 December 23, 2012
By Rebecca S. (Vienna, VA) -- See All My Reviews
Our car has better sound system than our home. This recording of The Four Seasons was one we'd heard in passing before. But the airing on WETA without interruption happened to coincide with a trip to Baltimore. We couldn't wait to order this CD, and hear the rest of this at times unnerving and almost frenetic recording. You don't listen to it; you experience it. A little like the Antinin Artaud version after so many cocktail receptions with this in the background. A revelation. Report Abuse
