A Smart SingerApril 15, 2012By Melvin Rosenberg (Pasadena, CA)See All My Reviews"I first heard Henk Neven sing Schubert's Winterreise, recorded by the BBC. I was amazed by the sensitivity and musicality of this young singer's interpretation of this gem of the song literature. So I checked and found his first commercial recording, several of the songs of the too little-known German contemporary of Schubert, Carl Loewe. Again Neven amazes one with thoughtful, beautifully vocalized interpretation. The Schumann Liederkreis completes a highly satisfying song recital. Warmly recommended."Report Abuse
