A pleasing album September 30, 2016 By David B. (La Honda, CA) See All My Reviews "A well balanced and well recorded CD, the primary instrument clear yet not over-dominating the supporting orchestra. The pieces on the disc are well matched and yet there is enough variation to make the recording interesting rather than an hour of undifferentiated music. I purchased this CD for the Domenico Zipoli title piece but enjoyed the whole. The primary performance is very good and I will be looking at other recordings by Gordon Hunt." Report Abuse
Wonderful May 21, 2016 By M. Hill (Pleasant Hill, CA) See All My Reviews "Heard small portion of this album in my car. Not good with computer but had to find it and bought 2 albums. It was a wonderful portion" Report Abuse
A remarkable collection, a soul stirring performa October 29, 2015 By Chris Kitze (Mill Valley, CA) See All My Reviews "One of the best CD's in my collection, it's truly magical sounds different each time you listen. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, the title track by Zipoli was played on our local classical station and they linked to arkivmusic. Zipoli is little known, but he wrote music to convey his religious experience. This music literally elevates your realm of mind, it's like a heavenly journey." Report Abuse
