The AAM does all nineApril 4, 2012By Richard H. (Glendale, AZ)See All My Reviews" I started collecting Hogwood's performances of the works of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven back in the 80's when CD was in it's infancy and period instruments were just starting to get recorded. There are very few of these performances that were not of the highest caliber and this is no exception. The AAM is one of the finest orchestras in the world and do the best job all in my opinion. If you enjoy period performances you can't miss with Hogwood and the AAM. All the Beethoven symphonies are done with great virtuosity and complete loyalty to the score. The sonics of these older recordings are not as good as they are now.
The nine symphonies are also released as a complete set by AAM and I assume it is just a rerelease of the original recordings done separately. "Report Abuse
