Notes and Editorial Reviews

Soprano Ruth Ann Swenson has won critical acclaim on operatic stages in both the United States and Europe. Swenson's operatic career was launched in 1983 at the San Francisco opera with her portrayal of Despina in Mozart's 'Cosi Fan Tutte.' Read more Swenson is featured in four arias by Puccini. She brings great pathos to "Mi chiamano Mimi" from Puccini's 'La Bohème' and heart wrenching drama to "In quelle trine morbide" from 'Manon Lescaut.' This is an exciting recital recording that showcases an exciting young singer in some of opera's most beloved arias.
