Notes and Editorial Reviews

After kick-starting his career with acclaimed performances of both Chopin Piano Concertos, Jan Lisiecki now completes Chopin’s orchestral repertoire by performing the composer’s lesser-known works for piano and orchestra, including Rondo à la Krakowiak. Lisiecki is joined by the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, conducted by Kryzsztof Urbanski.

REVIEW:

Time and time again the pianist's buoyant rhythms, spontaneity, and crisp articulation, married to a touching introspection, leaves some distinguished competition trailing.

It's Lisiecki, it's Chopin... May 30, 2017 By J. Costa-Esteban (Barcelona, Catalonia) See All My Reviews "When I listen to music I close the eyes and let my spirit fly. The problem with Jan is that my spirit resists to return, it always asks for a litle more magic from the incredible young pianist. I can't say anything new about Chopin -I'm not a musician nor a specialist, only a music lover, but I do know that Jan is a very special being. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to recreate Chopin the way he does. This is one of the best CDs I got." Report Abuse
