Bernstein's Best! April 27, 2017 By Jo Anne B. (New York, NY) See All My Reviews "I toured with Boris Goldovsky's group. We took a bus and truck out to the midwest and performed "Carmen" every night. I loved every moment of the music from the overature to the death. This recording has the spirit of the music. The trumpet player - wow!" Report Abuse
Very Enjoyable and Fun! March 10, 2016 By C. Riter (Portland, OR) See All My Reviews "I have never seen the opera Carmen performed, so I'm no expert here. What I will say is that the performances on this recording are robust and vibrant, and the recording quality top rate. Sony seems to do a great job with audio quality on this offering, and for me, it's all about hearing these works at their very best. Right? Hat's off to the engineering and production here The Suites of L'Arlesienne was my main draw to this recording, hearing it on local radio. Hearing it in it's entirety was a great treat. That, coupled with being exposed to the music of Carmen made this a great listening experience." Report Abuse
