Bravo to Opera in English  June 10, 2016 By Charles Marlow (New Haven, CT) See All My Reviews "I hope that the Peter Moores Foundation will be able to continue, long after Moores' recent death, its performances and recordings of operas in English, expanding the list of operas thus available. Why do opera-goers and -listeners insist on performances in languages they understand little if not a single word of? Sub- and supra-titles are a poor substitute for the real thing, opera in the singers' and the audiences' own language. Fine translations abound. Let's hear them!" Report Abuse
