Notes and Editorial Reviews

"These early sonatas are all played freshly in Jando's pleasingly direct style...the recording is truthful and this issue, volume 8 in the series, cannot be faulted."

-- Penguin Guide [2003/4 Edition]

"I found these solid and attractive performances. The delightful skipping opening of the Sonata in B b is dispatched in graceful Haydnesque style, and Naxos's indefatigable pianist is sensitive throughout, his light, singing style well suited to this music."

-- Lawrence A. Johnson, Fanfare [3/1999]

Good CD quality August 4, 2012 By Carlos  Delavega (Los Angeles, CA) See All My Reviews "A good quality CD was the product that I purchased not knowing at the time when I ordered it that it was produced in Germany, I have purchased a lot of classical music on CD for years and most of them have been recorded in US so I didn't know what I was going to receive in the mail but after I played the first two sonatas for piano of this CD I could noticed that the sound of this recording was excellent, clear and crystal sound. Also the pianist. Jeno Jando at the piano was an excellent pianist and I don't know if he is a German pianist or has a different nationality, this is the first time that I have heard him playing piano sonatas."
