 GREAT PRFORMANCES! May 17, 2015 By Zita Carno (Tampa, FL) See All My Reviews "Recently I've been acquiring some CDs featuring a work which I enjoyed playing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic when I was with that orchestra, and this is one of them---Bernstein's Prelude, Fugue and Riffs. I remember our principal clarinetist, Michele Zukovsky, as the soloist in the Riffs, and I took the piano part of course, and we all just had a blast---besides we had a number of players who had a real thing for jazz (brass and saxes), and we played this work with Lenny conducting. We also did the suite from On the Town on the same program---not to mention the suite from On The Waterfront, and believe me, there's nothing like performing these works with the composer conducting!"
