Dvorak: Symphony No 2 / Serebrier, Bournemouth
Just about the most lavishly played recording there is, with the Bournemouth Symphony in grandest form. Carlo Maria Giulini - The Chicago Years
Giulini’s years with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra include magisterial and intensely expressive readings of Berlioz, Brahms, Bruckner, and Mahler, as well as accounts of Stravinsky’s fiendishly difficult ballet suites that showcase the orchestra’s virtuoso musicians at their very best. $15.49 (4 CDs)

Brahms: Hungarian Dances No 1-21 / Heja
Conductor Domonkos Héja was born in Budapest and certainly grasps the stylistic nuances required to bring the music to life. The blend of the orchestra and tempo variations is deftly handled and the Danubia Symphony Orchestra clearly have this music in their bones. Quite delightful. $6.99

Autograph / Alexandre Tharaud
An absolutely enchanting, beautifully engineered disc, and not just for piano fans. Tharaud’s attention to detail, voicing, and timing allows each piece to emerge as if newly minted. $13.49

Maria Callas at Covent Garden 1962 & 1964

Kiri Te Kanawa - Opera Arias
