When it comes to music, I like to think that I can pick a good piece of music to enjoy over and over. This is why I am writing this review; this is it. I am sure,once you play these 2 dics you will keep playing them. I recommend you purchase this and give it a listen.

This 2 cd set of Alfred Brendel playing various works is simply outstanding. The recorded sound is breathtaking-very vivid and up close. It's like Alfred Brendel giving one their own personal concert.
I must say that of all the works on the recording, the Liszt selections were the least familiar. The Bach, Mozart and Beethoven are the gems on the recording. The clarity and articulation of the playing is stunning. Highly Recommended!!

I bought this album a few months ago during another Arkiv promotional sale, and have listened to it almost continuously, never growing tired of it. Having taught myself to play the piano, I identify with Alfred Brendel somewhat, who ended his formal training rather early on, yet became one of the greats. This music is just outstanding, and will bring many hours of uplifting entertainment to anyone who loves the composers Brendel plays.
