Active: 1855 - ; Queensbury, West Yorkshire, England
One of the better known of England's gradually diminishing nunbers of brass bands, the Black Dyke Mills Band has had a long career of providing support for other artists, including Douglas Yeo, Tori Amos and the Beautiful South, in between recordings and a busy performance schedule. They are also known for a one-off single on the Beatles' Apple label, "Thimgumybob" /"Yellow Submarine", both cuts being produced by Paul McCartney. The single was Read more released as one of the first four Apple singles, but a follow-up was never cut.
