A master at work! July 29, 2012 By malcolm fellows (cullman, AL) See All My Reviews "When I first ordered the Gould plays Bach I di so cause th pre was attractive and the coverage of the Bach transcript of his musical direction covered the whole spectrum,. Then there was Glen Gould, a fellow Canadian who lived and practiced for hours and weeks at a time between his demanding recording and personal appearances. Lenny Bernstine couldot get enough of Gould playing with his pet Orchestra the New York Philamonic and so as I paced the first disc into my C.D the musical began and you were be transferred into the pratice room of Bach.s home where the Master held Court and the glorious music flowed from piece to piece the Variations Fugue in FFsharpMinor then Fge in e sharp Major sinfonias, Toccatas in C E G major and minor Fsharp t hen to 6 little preludes which magically turn into prelud and fugue in Aminor and a fugetta in e minor. You are simply swept away by Glen .s touch and feelin for each musical exercise as set forth by the master Johann. His skill at epano isalso evidnt withhis touch wth th organ. It makes a wonderful listen for long hours or an hour at a time , making you drift baackto when this piece of music were first performed ad the musician who first had to play them after Bac wrote them Trust me My Canadian brother mr Gould is well worth the listen you will love it Macolm C Fellows" Report Abuse
