Very Impressive January 15, 2012 By Joshua D. (Elk Grove, CA) See All My Reviews "I was very impressed with this particular recording of Bach's keyboard concertos, and I had a feeling that they were going to be disorganized. Not only was I wrong, but I also discovered some new pieces of music by Bach that I added to my favorites list. All three pianists play their parts in a conformed and steady pace instead of showing off their finger dexterity by flying across the piano keys. Not only that, but all of them have a good chemistry in the way that they can play the compositions that have extensive use of counterpoint. The ensemble orchestra is also very well organized, allowing the pianists to dictate the speed and flow of the performance. The best compositions on these CDs in my opinion include BWV 1060 and 1063, which are played with great passion and emotion. If you're looking for a great recording of any (or all) of Bach's keyboard concertos this is your best bet. The price is right (for three CD you pay the price of just two), and the music sounds powerful and beautiful. I'll gladly keep my recording for a very long time, and I hope you get the opportunity to do the same." Report Abuse
