best Bandenburg Concertos CD I know February 5, 2014 By Anne D. (Del;ray Beach, FL) See All My Reviews "This ia a wonderful recording of Bach'S Brandenburg Concertos 4.5 and six. It is beautifully nuanced and not over done in any way. I love listening to it many times. I prefer it to the recordings with ancient instruments. I think Neville Marriner has the best musical feeling for these pieces and I prefer him in all Bach recordings." Report Abuse

An Oldie but a Goodie!!!! July 12, 2012 By Clifford H C. (Thompson, MB) See All My Reviews "I purchased this album the month that it came out on CD oh so very long ago. These were the days before the internet where you had to actually walk into the store and look through the racks. I purchased these recording and have never looked back. I still believe that these are the best interpretations of the Brandenburg Concertos on the market. The pacing of the music is absolutely perfect. The soloists and performers are top-notch as if they performed this music every day. I cannot say enough about how good these performances are! These recordings make the debate about authentic or modern instruments juvenile. These recordings are so good even Bach would give them a standing ovation. These Brandenburg Concertos have a joy, brilliance and a life that shines though every note!!!" Report Abuse
