Notes and Editorial Reviews

It is a viewer’s “behind-the-scenes” pass to witness firsthand how a performance unfolds and the preparation it takes to play this music. Along the way, MTT explores the symphony’s four movements, providing commentary on the powerful emotions embodied in the music and how it speaks to audiences today.  Great DVD of music and its making April 14, 2012 By Robert Abbott (Louisville, KY) See All My Reviews "A superb live recording of the 4th plus a very interesting behind the scenes look at its preparation. The very people-oriented approach by conductor MTT and the SFO members in crafting a very robust and smooth interpretation make this a standout DVD. Buy it!" Report Abuse
