stature of such big works as the Fantasia and Sonata, K475 and 457, and a sustained concentration in some of the more profound slow movements that gives a fine sense both of bar-by-bar discovery and of a measured unfolding, unhurried progress towards a clearly perceived destination. Notes from the past October 9, 2012
By Alan Tilson (Corinella, Victoria) See All My Reviews
"I can remember learning some of the easier sonatas back in the days I was able to play the piano. It has been a joy to work my way through the first disks. Just before I saw your request for a review I was planning to put on another of the CD's in the set as I have the house to myself for 4 hours."
