Notes and Editorial Reviews

“Here is playing of a very high international standard throughout. Never once do the musicians let their conductor or composer down, and the internal balance of the vast instrumental forces Mahler demands is admirable. Everything is clear, sonically, from the most finely detailed solos to the largest tuttis… This is a fine achievement all round.” – International Record Review “Here is playing of a very high international standard throughout.  A great recording July 29, 2014 By Christian  B. (Price, UT) See All My Reviews "I'm no Mahler expert - this is my first recording of his 7th Symphony. So I can't say how this disc compares to others, but I will say that the recording quality is amazing - and I've only listened to it so far on my crummy factory-installed car stereo. The playing seems to me to be top notch - everything sounds crisp, nothing is muddled. I am very impressed with the richness of the brass. The booklet that comes with the CD has very extensive notes. A real steal at this price." Report Abuse
