Bought it for the KodalyMay 11, 2014By Rick B. (Downers Grove, IL)See All My Reviews"Once I read an article that said that the recording of a piece of music that first "turns you on" to a piece will forever be the one you love. I've found that to be true for me more often than not. For the Dvorak this was Bruno Walter's for Columbia which I bought in the 1960s and still listen to on that vinyl copy. I heard the Tennstedt Kodaly fairly recently on NPR in the middle of the night. In the midst of all the "deedle-deedle" Baroque and Classical era elevator music (and, yes I mean the likes of Bach and Mozart), it absolutely sparkled. And that's the reason for this purchase."Report Abuse
