a forgotten gem February 1, 2015 By D. Houston (Wyandotte, MI) See All My Reviews "These are recordings that I've known for many years and still go back to when I need a refresher on what music making should be about. In the spirit of The Marlboro at that time you have a collection of long- established artists, rising stars and newly discovered artists all joining forces to simply make music at a very high level. Aside from the people who will take the time to frequent these performances, the the winners here are Brahms and Schubert. Listen to the piano lines in the Brahms and you hear slightly different approaches to playing between Serkin and Fleisher but the performances from each are of the highest order. Highly recommended!!!" Report Abuse
