A Very Good Recording of the Four Seasons. February 21, 2015 By m. jefferson (birmingham, AL) See All My Reviews "I am not an expert on Antonio Vivaldi's music, even his Four Seasons; and I have always believed that Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg's picture on any CD is worth buying, but this recording of the Four Seasons is really very good. Both in the performance as well as the recording for EMI. Her technique with the violin is very light and agile which is what is needed for works from Vivaldi, as well as from Bach, Handel, Paganini. I bought this knowing that the Winter concerto is my favorite of these four but Miss Nadja's skill and lightness made me enjoy the other three concertos, too. If this set is the best out there on the market I do not know but I do recommend this performance." Report Abuse
