Notes and Editorial Reviews

Here and there the music is a little pushed,...though out of sheer high spirits rather than manically, on a chamber music disc from the Chandos Baroque Players—slightly less sophisticated playing, in a very English, fresh-air sort of way, but well polished; very enjoyable, with particularly lively contributions from Rachel Beckett's recorder, sharing the upper lines with the violin and oboe of the admirable Alison Bury and Valerie Darke.
