Legendary recordings of famed Swiss soprano Lisa Della Casa performing lieder and opera highlights from Richard Strauss. Taken from three performances in Vienna and Berlin, Della Casa presents Strauss' 'Four Last Songs' and highlights from 'Ariadne auf Naxos' and (most famously) the titular role of 'Arabella.' Upon seeing her perform the supporting role of Zdenka shortly before his death, Strauss himself exclaimed 'The little Della Casa will one day be Arabella!'
