Old fashioned sing fest May 3, 2013 By J S E T. (West Grove, PA) See All My Reviews "This is the old standard version with recits. There is much to like in it: a dynamic conductor, excellent sound, fine voices, idiomatic chorus and orchestra. What's missing?--real character development. Resnik is the best at it, but as good as her stage performances were, her deep mezzo is too matronly for a convincing recording. Still, This is one of my top shelf choices." Report Abuse
