Gounod: St. Cecilia Mass / Pretre, Hendricks December 2, 2014 By Elbertus Prol (Stanley, NC) See All My Reviews "Gounod's St. Cecilia Mass is one of the most profound, reverential, and beautiful settings of the Mass! This rendition of the St. Cecilia Mass is equally reverential, and beautiful. In my opinion this interpretation of Gounod's intent is successfully shown. The pathos, emotion, sincerity, and, yes, love are fully exhibited in this recording. With no further apology, the writer absolutely appreciates this recording. Thank you ArkiMusic!" Report Abuse
