I HAVE THEM ALL!!!! October 27, 2014 By Zita Carno (Tampa, FL) See All My Reviews "This afternoon I was listening, as usual, to the Classical Masterpieces channel on my TV, and they played Sibelius' Symphony #3---and I got carried away by the fast pace of the music. I sat there and enjoyed it all---and then it occurred to me to check my CD collection. Guess what? I have all seven symphonies, and I am one happy Sibelian camper! I will probably get a couple more in the mail; I'm hoping for the first three symphonies with Bernstein conducting---and I do have just about all the tone poems, including the 2-CD collection with Phyllis Bryn-Julson doing Luonnotar to absolute perfection. (I'm glad they printed the text in four languages, French, German, Finnish and English so I could get the entire sense of it.) This calls for a celebration; I have a hunk of bread cheese (I forget the Finnish name for it) and will tear off a piece, warm it in the microwave, top it with apricot-pineapple preserves and sit there with some hot tea and MUNCH."
