'Rebecca's Suite' is a sparkling virtuoso work that evokes Liszt; 'Three Preludes' has echoes of Russian music, most notably Khachaturian and Prokoviev. And last but not least, Emma Lou Diemer's Fantasy for Piano is a florid work full of cascading runs requiring the dexterity of a virtuoso, an element that Solomon provides with ease in this captivating work.
