A real beauty... December 27, 2014 By Searle L. (Fairfield East, NSW) See All My Reviews "Its a pity that Ponti never recorded more Alkan because his technique was always up to it - speaking of good technique, sample his virtuosity in the Henselt etudes noting that once you hear his performance, like Beethoven once said ' the rest go for nothing': Other renditions of the Op 2 set seem to lack that last once of polish in their performances."
