Notes and Editorial Reviews

Most transcriptions of Bach's music was written for the piano. From the plethora of edits, reinterpretations, metamorphoses of Johann Sebastian Bach's works for piano, the pianist Angelika Nebel has selected a number of lesser-known transcriptions, which relate primarily to organ works, especially chorale. Her selection offers some world premiere recordings; the program sequence is oriented on the church year. Angelika Nebel joins in their play musical integrity, warmth and concentrated architectural rigor. Most transcriptions of Bach's music was written for the piano.
