(waikato, New Zealand) See All My Reviews "The 5th symphony is vw /s most popular & it is easy to see why . writen in wartime it/s glorious themes , especially the 3rd movement must have given wartorn britain some hope .Played here by the RLPO & conducted by vernon handley , they give a wonderfull account of this great music . the oboe concerto & flos campi new to me are most enjoyable , the recording is superb ."
