Carreras Sings Puccini March 25, 2018 By Christopher D. (Kokomo, IN) See All My Reviews "That's what this CD should really be called. I don't usually listen to greatest hits CDs, but this one is different. It's almost all Jose Carreras in the big moments from Boheme and Tosca and the duet from Madama Butterfly. What gorgeous singing! This is all from Carreras' early prime, with the fluid, beautiful lyric voice he had then, and a style both ardent and musical. The sopranos here sing beautifully too - Pilar Lorengar, Katia Ricciarelli (in lovely duets with Carreras), Caballe - but this is mostly Carreras' show, and it's a fine collection of some of his most beautiful singing. Carreras Sings Puccini. If you don't already have these recordings, this one is worth getting." Report Abuse
