A classically distiller renditionJune 24, 2015By R. Nodell (Guilford, CT)See All My Reviews"Klemperer's Brahms have often been named among the very best performances. Raised on the rich romantic lushness of Bruno Walter and Leonard Bernstein- both being well loved- I was surprised at how Klemperer's sense of structure made the symphonies more powerfully moving without being as explicitly emotional. I couldn't state a preference among them but this set is not one I would want to miss."Report Abuse
