Bodacious Borodin November 16, 2016 By owen ryan (lakewood, CA) See All My Reviews "These performances have not received high praise from the professional reviewers. For instance Victor Carr,Jr on Classics Today finds that in Symphonies 1 and 2 Ermler ''to be more concerned with sonority than forward momementum.'' He finds Emler's approach in no. 3 to be overall bland and disappointing. I don't have much to compare these to so I have no preconcieved notion on how it all should go. A case of ignorance is bliss since I like this set very much. I am influenced in my judgement by the excellent audio. Until a better set falls into my hands this is a keeper." Report Abuse
