Notes and Editorial Reviews

This 38-CD box is a continuation from the previous EMI set, Michel Plasson et la Musique Française, which featured the great conductor leading performances of French orchestral masterpieces. This set, Michel Plasson & L'Opéra Français, contains complete performances of both famous and very rarely heard operas from the French repertoire, with some of the greatest voices of French opera, led by Michel Plasson, considered France's preeminent opera conductor.
