(Pietermaritzburg, KZN Province) See All My Reviews "I could not believe my luck when Irealised that Arkivmusic is selling this recording inthe form of a DVD audio I snapped it without any reservations especially when I noticed the artists involved in the project. Rene Flemming oh! what can i say she is sublime esp.on Libera Mi which also featured on DVD visuals & I noticed one of the choral members looking at her in disbelief at the hogh voice sound she made during the rehearsals.Olga Bordina is nothing but amazing as a mezzo soprano, she is even praised by Ms Fleming who says that she produces the most beautiful voice ever.Now the males, Bocelli-tenor that gifted Italian cantor oh! his "ingemisco'is sublime but very light in voice compared to e.g. Domingo or Pavarotti but it is all for the better.Boceli is a star as he sings so beautiful imploring God to have mercy on him like He forgave Mary, "oh! now God that created hope in me for your mercy".He is outstanding throughout.DarkAngelo -bass, I liked him very much, he is simple the best esp. in Effortorium "Domine Gesu Christe". The conductor feels the music . i loved the choir part as well. One of the outstanding quality of this item is the powerful and clear sound.If you love Verdi's Requiem then buy this or else your collection will not be complete without it." Report Abuse
