Andreas Baumann was born in 1967, and studied at the Stuttgart Conservatory for Music and Performing Arts and the Dortmund Conservatory for Music. He has played piano and harpsichord with the ensemble for early music, "Esslingen" for many years. Albrecht Volz was born in 1961, and began his studies in 1981 at the Stuttgart Conservatory for Music. In 1986, he came to the United States to study privately.
