Notes and Editorial Reviews

I prefer Vásáry’s playful brand of nervous energy in the Suite Bergamasque and the Tarantelle styrienne. We also get Vásáry’s wonderfully rakish Arabesques, a Pour le Piano highlighted by effervescent outer movements, and soft, murmuring repeated notes in Masques.

lovely Debussy August 8, 2014 By D. McArthur (Gretna, LA) See All My Reviews "This disc sports good analogue sound and if you need a good basic disc of Debussy's solo piano music this will do very nicely. Tamas Vasary is an excellent pianist and the piano sound is very good. The selections provide a wonderful overview of Debussy for solo piano. At this price, it is beyond being a bargain. Actually it's a steal! Enjoy!!!" Report Abuse
