"In the four pieces featured on this recording, never does the performer (D. Schlosberg) allow his interpretation to lean toward the predictable. Each piece, approached from an ostensibly deep understanding of the period and provenance of its respective composer, is masterfully presented in a way that suggests that D. Schlosberg is truly a fantastically cerebral artist, and a gem among gems of his generation. How truly refreshing it is to hear a young(ish) performer capture the zeitgeist of an interesting medley of underperformed (perhaps even underappreciated?) pieces."
