Great SeasonsJuly 29, 2015By owen ryan (lakewood, CA)See All My Reviews"Over the years a few Seasons have passed through my hands but until now I have only kept two of them. I think this disc will be a ''keeper.'' Claudio Abbado and the LSO give a very good performance of this popular work. That alone is enough to make this a top choice but what really elevates this performance is the virtuosity of Gidon Kremer: absolutely wonderful violin playing. Accompanying the Seasons on this disc is an additional three concertos played by others (also nicely done). As if the combination of Abbado, LSO, and Kremer weren't enough to make this a winner, it is all captured in a near audiophile quality recording. Now if all those factors weren't enough to entice you into purchasing this disc, consider the very low price of $7- that it is offered at!"Report Abuse
