Released to coincide with their Wigmore Hall recital, this live disc was recorded last year, during the Trio's 'Beyond Beethoven' series in London and Oxford, which encompassed the entire Beethoven piano trio repertoire alongside five newly- commissioned works. This all-Beethoven CD features the famed Archduke trio alongside the magnificent trio in E flat, Op.70 No.2, a work that is heard less frequently but shows Beethoven at his most reflective and imaginative.
