Raves for the Rhapsody September 7, 2014 By B. Wilson (Sebastopol, CA) See All My Reviews "Gershwin's music rises from the roots of ethnic sounds and rhythms. So many times we dumb it down by calling 'American Jazz', ignoring the more fundamental aspects on which the music is built. Hearing the Michael Tilson Thomas interpretation of this marvelous music allows us to peer more deeply into the complexities of the composition. It is truly exciting!" Report Abuse
Got the Version I Wanted! (twice???) January 26, 2014 By R. Vance (San Francisco, CA) See All My Reviews "Folks, I bought this rhapsody in blue music to get the exact same version as was being played on KKSF. I live in SF and have seen MTT in action at the SF Symphony. After purchasing the music I found I could not get the music into my iTunes music file because I was lacking some sort of special program to extract the music from my purchased file?? I'm a retired registered Professional Electrical Engineer (a line item in my retirement decision was technological change for change). I ended up buying the music twice (ref #s 5044931 & 5043978) and learning how to temporarily override my Mac from blocking internet software and finally ended up extracting the file using my new software. Believe me I really felt like I did something, especially after carefully reviewing the 30+ versions of this music in iTunes and confirming beyond the shadow of a doubt this version was not available in iTunes at the time of my search. Life is good my friends, R2 the V" Report Abuse
