Back in 2001, two opera singers, Rebecca Knight and Karen England were discovered busking in London’s Covent Garden and almost overnight were thrust into the global media spotlight, releasing an album, achieving No.1 chart positions across the world and becoming an international success phenomenon.
In 2009 Rebecca and Karen both became mums and started spending time with the new ‘operababies’ whilst making their 3rd album. What happened next is almost a repeat of what happened over 10 years ago. By chance, their PR agent had started doing some work for Warner Music Entertainment and played the album to the executives of the Major label. They in turn signed Rebecca and Karen to Warner Classics.
