"I have always loved this piece of music....I never realized how much until tonight when Ric Malone played it as the highlight of his "Field and Stream" theme for tonight on KDFC...I was singing along, out into the open air of a perfect late summer night, hoping my neighbors could hear...and understand.....this wonderful composition by Beethoven and this most inspired performance by the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra would surely touch the soul of every human on the planet...it's theme is universal and expressed with divine eloquence....b."
