Wonderful Surprise June 29, 2012 By Keith Messersmith (Ashland, PA) See All My Reviews "I was loaned this recording on L.P. by a friend, and I was just blown away by it's story and music. Generally not fond of the Melodiya label because of their unrealistic stereo qualities, nevertheless I fell in love with the story and music. Found out this was the composers personal favorite. The new C.D. pressing has greatly improved the stereo sound, although libretto is in russian only, I copied my friends libretto from the L.P. so I could follow along and really get into the story. Highly recommended." Report Abuse
