A BEATIFUL, RIDICULOUS OPERA May 29, 2012 By JOHN H  G. (CLEVELAND, OH) See All My Reviews "The music is beautiful and very well played and sung. Opolais sings as gorgeously as she looks. But for her, however, a case could be made for listening to a CD in a language one does not know rather than watching the DVD. Even for an opera, the plot and depiction are too bloody and absurd to be attractive, despite good staging." Report Abuse
