Notes and Editorial Reviews
Since his induction with the Paris Orchestra under the direction of Wolfgang Sawallisch and followed by a live recording of the Brahms Second Concerto with Paavo Berglund and the London Philharmonic, François-Frédéric Guy has progressively established himself as a strong-minded character.
His passion for opera and symphonic music coupled with a willingness to take risks, lead him to choose, among the vast ocean of the piano repertoire, the most complex works, including Beethoven's Hammerklavier sonata which he played more than sixty times in public and recorded twice.
