New life c/o Pianos March 18, 2014 By Gerald L. (Manhattan Beach, CA) See All My Reviews "WOW! The ensemble truly breathed new life into BWV 1061 the double concerto in C. I had heard this several times before on different recordings, mostly with harpsichord. Purists may scoff; I love piano. The fugue comes alive as I never heard it before, with a big energetic finish. The Adagio is entrancing, time-suspending. Clean, sympathatic transitions between the pianos. Just beautiful overall." Report Abuse
