Randall Snyder is head of the Composition Department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and was appointed that school's first Composer-in-Residence in 1996. He studied saxophone with his father, a professional jazz musician. During High School, he received a scholarship to the Stan Kenton Band Camp and in 1962 was honored with a Downbeat Magazine Student Hall of Fame Award. From her childhood in the coal-mining valleys of South Wales, Hilary Tann developed the love of nature which has inspired all of her music. Currently, she lives in upstate New York and is the Chair of the Department of Performing Arts at Union College, Schenectady. For over twenty years, Allan Crossman served on the faculty of Concordia University in Montreal. Read more Currently he lives in the San Francisco Bay area, where he teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory. Active as composer and pianist, Sarah Meneely-Kyder is a graduate of Goucher College, Peabody Conservatory and Yale University. Her teachers included Robert Hall Lewis and Earle Brown. She studied the sitar and veena, eventually being initiated by Roop Verma, a student of world-renowned sitarist, Ravi Shankar. She is currently on the faculty of Wesleyan University. Read less
